That they were destroyed or weekend then rebuilt.

Yes, what is this called? Why does rebellion occur in Chinese society?
Dynastic Cycle. It happens because the people become unhappy with the stuff that changes, then they overthrow the government.
The dynastic cycle causes the dynasties to fall and rise in a pattern. A dynasty must have the Mandate if Heaven and if they lose this Mandate the lords rebel and overthrow the emperor
Great understanding of the concept!
It was the dynastic cycle, and the people were disagreeing with the kings rules so they revolted about it. Then they got a new ruler who took control and took the Mandate of Heaven.
The common theme running in the ancient Chinese dynasties is the dynastic cycle. the dynastic cycle give strong rulers the right to lead as the "Mandate of Heaven" persist. The Mandate of Heaven is most basically the right to rule in ancient China: if things are good the mandate is on the rulers side. However, if things are bad the mandate is not on the ruler's side and the dynasty is overthrown. All to be replaced by a new dynasty that repeats the cycle.
